Shop ‘till ya drop in Seville

08 Sep 2014

The main shopping streets are Calle Tetuan and Calle Sierpes, with shops like Mango, Zara and H&M, but also the Spanish fashion brands Stradivarius and Blanco, can be found between Plaza Nueva and Plaza de Encarnación. And don’t forget to take a look at the numerous shoe stores and sombrero stores, there is enough choice for good quality and good prices in Calle Córdoba.shopping sevilla

For fans of Spanish fashion designers it is worth to take a look at Adolfo Dominguez, Victorio and Lucchino. But it’s not just fashion that fill the streets. For Flamenco shoes and for example CD’s, you can go to the neighbourhood La Macarena in the north. At Calle San Luis 120 you can find the store “Flamenco y Más”, a specialized shop for flamenco-lovers.

Many souvenir shops are located in Barrio Santa Cruz and for the famous Sevillian ceramic tiles (azulejos) Triana is the place to be. In Calle Alferería on the other side of the river, you can find ceramic stores, which are open during siesta time.

At the big warehouse El Corte Ingles you can find everything you need under one roof. It has a incredible roof terrace, where the whole city is exposed to you. Do not forget to have a look at the nice restaurants and bars on the roof top (tip: try the Mexican food).

While shopping in Seville keep in mind that the little shops are closed between 14.00 and 17.00  and on Sunday all shops are closed. On other days: start at 10h and when you are exhausted when the shops close at 21h… take a little beer or wine on the lively Plaza El Salvador.
