During the year there are lots of different parties and (national) holidays in each country and region. Everywhere they celebrate something else and everywhere they find some reasons to have a good party. One holiday that people celebrate everywhere in the world is New Year. On this they we celebrate, like you probably already know, the transition from the current year until the next year which is 2018 in this case. When the clock strikes 12, people everywhere in the world will be celebrating. In lots of countries people have their own traditions for this day and of course there are also parties everywhere. Also here in Spain, there are lots of different things to do on New Years Eve. They organise all kinds parties ands event and the streets are full of people. Here in Seville, just like everywhere else, people really are really looking forward to the day.
What exactly do they organise in the city? What does Seville look like with New Year? In short, what can I expect when I am in Seville for NYE? Well that is what I am going to tell and explain to you, the best way possible, via this blog. I will tell you about some of the things they do in the city and about the traditions that they have over here. In that way you can never be bored at New Years Eve!
To start it off with, I will tell you about some fun and nice activities within the city on this special day. Of course there is always somethings to do but just have to know where to be on this busy day. Lots of people like to have a nice dinner for New Year. Of course that is a really nice way to close the year, with the people you love, but where? Contenedor and Abades de Triana are thé restaurants to go to on with NYE. The food here is amazing and the atmosphere is great as well. So when you go there, a good night is almost guaranteed. Next to the restaurants there are also lots of nice parties in the city. The most well known clubs are open but you also have a few really classy parties this night at The Alfonso Hotel and at the EME Cathedral Hotel. Both of them are a bit more luxurious but they are really nice to end the year on this magical night. The last tip that I want give you is to go on one of the romantic boat trips on the Guadalquivir. This amazing trip on the river is including diner, flamenco show and a lot more! This is something that is really worth your time and money.
At last I want to tell you about the tradition that the people in Spain have. This tradition is called grape eating. Grape eating? you ask. Yes Grape eating. According to the tradition the people here eat one grape at each stroke of the clock, so twelve in total. Lots of people come together on the streets and on the squares to eat their grapes and to close this year in a good way.
Those were all the tips for New Years Eve. I hope they are useful for you so that you can close this year in a great way and so that you can start 2018 on a good therm!
