New season, new people

08 Sep 2017

¡Hola!, We are Omer and Rico, and we are both doing our internships at ATD Spain. For us, there is no such thing as the feeling of
guiding people through the wonderful city of Seville. We would like to enjoy and discover Seville together with you!
And seeing such beautiful history day in day out is actually amazing. I just told you our names, but you might want to
know a little more about your guides right?

Well let me start, my name is Omer and I’m Dutchman from Holland. Born and raised in Enschede,
that’s a big city all the way east in the Netherlands. However, my name is not Dutchy. I got Arabic
blood in my veins. Mom and dad are originally from the country of the pharaohs, hieroglyphs and
pyramids. Also, the country where the beautiful river El Nile goes through; Egypt. Such a beautiful
country. El Andalucia has a lot from the Arabic culture since it was in hands of the Arabs way back. You
will discover yourself with me as your speaker. In the Netherlands I study at Saxion the University of
Applied Sciences and I follow a Marketing and International management course. So what brought me
here all the way to Seville? Well at the beginning I almost immediately decided that I wanted to go to
Spain, since I’ve been reading a lot about Seville and her beautiful history. So here I am guiding you
through this wonderful city. You will definitely get entertained and you will be enjoying the beautiful
views and secrets where I will lead you through. Just grab your bike and follow me!

Hello everybody! My name is Rico and I am also from the Netherlands. I live and lived my whole life
in Best, a small village near Eindhoven in the Netherlands. Next to that I study tourism at the NHTV,
university of applied sciences in Breda, which is also in the Netherlands. Since I have always liked
traveling and also have a lot of family living in Spain, the choice for my internship was made very
quickly. I immediately knew that I wanted to go to Spain. And when I was looking for an internship,
Seville got my attention right away. Why do you ask? Well that’s simple. I heard about the city from a
lot of friends and family and everybody was as enthusiastic as I am after my very first week of living
here. It is a magnificent and beautiful city with a lot to see cultural wise and a lot of things to do with
the two big football clubs and the best tapas in whole Spain. I would love to show you around in this
beautiful city via one of our famous city tours. So come by, hop on a bike and enjoy Seville together
with me!
