The Best Non-Touristic Places to visit in Sevilla!

Welcome to our new blog! This blog is about the best non-touristic places of Sevilla. Sevilla has around 700.000 residents, and it is getting more and more popular among travelers from all over the world. But being in a big city like this, means that there are a lot of people everywhere. Are there any places that are cool but only a few tourists come? I will tell you all about it in this blog!

The Guadalquivir

First off, the Guadalquivir. This is the big river that flows through Sevilla. You can't swim in the river, but it's very enjoyable to sit alongside its shores and enjoy the view. These are also the perfect places to watch the sunset. Many locals hang out on the shores, and get together for some drinks or a picnic. You'll also see a lot of people working out in the cool breeze the river offers. Also, along the river you’ll find Mercado Lonja del Barranco,an old market that has converted into a quite unique tapas concept. This Mercado has many different tapas stalls inside, which serve typical Spanish tapas or, if you've had enough tapas for one day, some very delicious hamburgers as well. You can take your food outside and enjoy it on their terrace with a nice view of the river.

Alameda de Hércules

Alameda de Hércules is a very popular place among locals, and it has not yet been discovered by the masses of tourists. It’s a big square in the middle of the city center. There are a lot of different restaurants there. You have your typical Spanish tapas bars, but also an Italian pizzeria, a Sushi restaurant and even some vegan bars! And there are a lot of pubs/clubs, where locals meet each other and like to go out. This square is lively at any hour of the day. A square where all cultures come together!

Mercado Lonja de Feria

Mercado Lonja de Feria is comparable with a food hall, and it's similar to the Lonja del Barranco. Here can you find a lot of different tapas bars underneath one roof. And for other international palates, the Lonja de Feria also offers Mexican and Japanese food. The Lonja de Feria is situated in the oldest market building in Sevilla, built in the seventeenth century. Personally, I really like this place, you won’t find a lot of tourists here. You can enjoy your dinner in a great place!
