Free things to do in Seville

10 Abr 2017

We all know Sevilla is famous for his tapas which are really cheap. However, there are so many things to do in this beautiful city. So, I have put together a list of free things to do in Seville.

1. Churches

Not so religious? Well, Seville’s churches and chapels are worth to visit it. Some of the churches are nice decorated and at the inside, the churches are an art of themselves. The most impressive church in Seville is the Cathedral. Unfortunately, this one normally charges an entrance fee, but on Sunday it is free.

2. Parks

Most beautiful park of Seville? Maria Luisa Park. What’s so special? Well, it is the biggest park of Seville. It has nice trees, stunning squares to chill and if you walk through the park, you will see the beautiful Plaza de Espana.

This park is a place that the whole family can enjoy. Kids can play in the playground while the parents are relaxing between the greenery and plants. So, walk, relax and enjoy!

3. Plaza de España

If you visit Seville, you will not miss this beautiful place called Plaza de España. This massive building is Seville’s most impressive after the Cathedral. In front of the building, there is a canal. Here you can row with a boat. Unfortunately, this is not free, but cheap! For 35 minutes rowing around Plaza de España, it cost €6. Really nice and fun to do it with your boyfriend or friends.

4. University of Seville

Did you know the University of Seville was first a Tabaco fabric? Well, if you will visit the University you will see some elements that tell you why. In the eighties, it was the biggest industrial building in Europe. Pretty nice! Now, it is still an amazing building. If you standing in front of the University, look inside and see how the students and professors doing their thing.

5. Torre Del Oro

On Monday, you can visit the most well-known Tower of Gold for free, Torre del Oro. It is fun to go inside and when you are at the top of this tower, you have a beautiful view of Seville. After the visit, you can walk through the river Guadalquivir back to the centre. Cosy and fun!

This monument is a little piece of the beautiful history of Seville, but it is worth to visit it. Even, if you stand in front of it, it is beautiful.
