Hi everyone!
My name is Sera, I am 20 years old, I come from Rotterdam, and for the next five months, I am proud to call myself the new HBO intern at ATD Bike Holidays in Seville. And yes… I am really looking forward to it!
I am currently studying Tourism Management at Breda University of Applied Sciences and am in my third year. My studies are all about travel, hospitality, and creating unforgettable experiences for people. When it came time to choose an internship, I knew one thing for sure: I wanted to do an internship abroad because I want to challenge myself, get to know new cultures, and, of course, learn a lot in practice!
What will I be doing at ATD Bike Holidays?
During my internship, I will mainly be working on ATD Bike Holidays’ social media, so there’s a good chance you’ll see me regularly on social media. I will also help with giving bike tours, so who knows, maybe I will be your guide through beautiful Seville one day. What I really like is that I am not only behind the scenes, but also in direct contact with the guests and get to show them the city.
Why Seville?
Before my internship, I took a minor in Spanish language and culture. During this minor, I became increasingly enthusiastic about Spain, the language, the culture, the food, and basically everything about it appealed to me.
I didn’t really know Seville yet, but I always heard great stories about the city. When I told people that I was going to Seville for an internship, they immediately became enthusiastic and said that I was going to have an amazing time, which of course made me even more enthusiastic and curious.
Why ATD Bike Holidays?
When I started looking for an internship, I came across ATD Bike Holidays through my studies, and that was a very positive experience. I also had a conversation with the previous intern, which made me even more enthusiastic. After my application, I quickly had an interview and we immediately clicked. It felt good, familiar, and above all, I felt that I could really learn something and develop myself here.
And that’s how I ended up in wonderful Seville!
I’m really looking forward to this new challenge in the coming months! If a bicycle tour through Seville sounds like fun to you, please look at our website. For any other questions, you can always visit our social media pages, and I will answer all your questions!
Greetings,
Sera
