Hi, I’m Fréderique! For the next four and a half months, from July 2025 to December 2025, I’ll be doing an internship at ATD Bikes. My main tasks will be managing the social media accounts and giving bike tours. I’ve already joined a few tours and I’m really excited about them! I can’t wait to start giving tours myself soon.

Originally, I’m from the Netherlands and I study tourism at a vocational school, De Rooi Pannen in Tilburg. I really enjoy my studies and find the tourism industry very interesting. That’s why I chose to do my internship in a tourist-focused country, which eventually brought me to Seville.

I thought it would be super interesting to intern at ATD Bikes, as I’ve always enjoyed joining bike tours in other countries. I’ve done them before in Málaga, Paris, and Thailand. Now that I’ve been given the opportunity to intern at this bike company, it really makes my younger self happy to have ended up in the tourism industry.

It is quite a big city, but I’ve already seen quite a bit, mostly thanks to the bike tours I’ve taken part in so far. Even though I haven’t been here for long, I feel like there’s something beautiful to discover around every corner. Every day I’m out and about, I find myself amazed again, and I realize that the sights here never get old.

Although everything still feels a bit new and exciting, I’m confident that I’ll soon feel at home in Seville and get used to the relaxed and friendly culture here. I’m still figuring things out in my new shared apartment too. For example, I’m not a great cook yet and I don’t really know how to do laundry properly, but luckily I’ve got the internet and sweet parents back home in the Netherlands who are happy to help.

Right now, I don’t know my surroundings or Seville very well yet, but I’m sure I’ll grow to love this beautiful, impressive city. Through the bike tours at ATD Bikes, I’m getting all the opportunities to find my way and add my own personal touch, which makes the experience creative and diverse. There’s something for everyone in these tours. Of course, it all takes time, and I’m looking forward to meeting lots of great people and building lifelong friendships.
