Hi! My name is Jada and I am 19 years old. I am a new intern at ATD Spain. From August 18th until January 9th, I will be working at ATD Spain! I am very excited and motivated to do my internship at this company. My tasks include helping with social media, taking photos/videos, and giving tours through Seville.
I am from the Netherlands and I study in Utrecht at Nimeto. My studies are in Media & Communication, and I really enjoy this program. The things I have learned at school, I will now be able to apply during my internship with great enthusiasm. This is my second internship. My first one was four days a week in the Netherlands, and this one is five days a week. My education only lasts three years, so when I return to the Netherlands, I will still have my final exams – and then I’ll be finished!
What I really like about this internship is that it’s very diverse. One day you are giving a bike tour, and the next you are working in the office on social media. That variety is one of the main reasons why this internship appealed to me. So far, I have joined a bike tour to see how it works, which was very interesting. I am really looking forward to giving tours myself soon!
During this internship, I would like to learn how to use social media in the tourism sector, since that is still new to me.
In addition, Seville is also a very beautiful city. I have visited once before, during the Feria. That was such a wonderful experience! Since then, I never forgot about the city and really wanted to do my internship here. Luckily, I was able to come to this place. At the moment I am still exploring the city, but soon I will know many of its spots and highlights. In the Netherlands, I still live at home with my parents and younger brother, so living on my own is also a new experience for me. And to do this in a city I didn’t know yet makes it even more special. So far, I am enjoying it very much so far.
