Buenassss
My name is Fleur and I am 20 years old. From 1 September to 16 January, I will be doing an internship at ATDSpain Bike Holidays in Seville. I am 20 years old and come from the always lively province of Brabant in the south of the Netherlands. I am enjoying studying for a Tourism Associate Degree at BUAS in Breda.
I am very passionate about tourism and during my previous internship on the beautiful island Lanzarote, I learned a lot about working enthusiastically together in the Spanish sun. I have already completed two hotel internships and now see my upcoming internship at ATD Bikes as an educational challenge for my personal development.
My first week at ATD Bikes went very smoothly. Everyone is very nice and helpful.
I immediately felt at ease and quickly noticed that there is a pleasant corporate atmosphere.
During my first week, I first joined the bike tours of various tour guides, which gave me a good idea of what the bike tours entail and what is important to be able to provide the tours well, Also
I received an explanation of the other activities, such as social media, which I will be involved in.
What I will mainly be doing in the upcoming months is working on social media content and guide the Dutch highlight tours. At the moment, I am still learning the ropes and I am looking forward to getting involved and contributing to the team as soon as possible!
In the course of my internship I will learn a lot about Seville and its rich history, which often features the well-known name of Columbus. In my first week I cycled along with a few tours led by different guides and quickly learned many interesting and funny facts about Seville.
The city is truly amazingly rich in culture and atmosphere. It’s about a 30-minute walk from my student room to my internship. That sounds like a lot, but my route takes me right through the city centre. First, I pass Seville Cathedral, which looks beautiful in the morning sun, then I walk along Calle Mateos Gago, a street full of restaurants and coffee shops, through the narrow and authentic streets and on to my internship address.
What I like about this internship is the variety of customer contact and office work, and the super friendly team. It’s a great learning environment and I can’t wait to learn more about Spanish culture during this internship and improve my Spanish language skills!
