Mercado Lonja del Barranco
Before going to Triana at the Isabel II bridge, you should pay a visit at Mercado Lonja del Barranco, located at the right side before the bridge. This market has recently opened, and has become very successful in the past 3 months.There are 20 stands that each has their specialty of regional food. The food can be perfectly combined with a nice drink from either the stands or the bar. The place is mostly very crowded, but that doesn’t stop locals and tourists to visit this unique glass building.
Mercado de Triana
When walking towards Triana over the Isabel II bridge, you will find the market of Triana on your right side. In Mercado de Triana you can find almost everything regarding fresh food, as for example, fruit, vegetables, seafood and meat. The food will be a little more expensive than in supermarkets, but it is worth the money because of the quality. The sellers are very personal towards their clients, most even have known each other for years. Therefore, you can also find many locals in the bar of the market. With a little bit of Spanish skills you can have wonderful conversations here.
Mercadillo de los Jueves
Another market that seems very attractive among tourist is the flea market called Mercadillo de los Jueves. This market is located on Calle Feria and is only on Thursday mornings. On this market you can find an enormous collection of collectibles such as used postcards, books, painting and photographs. This market is considered the most colorful street markets in Seville. Most tourist don’t visit the market to buy old books but just to visit it’s beauty.
