Compared to Seville, Málaga offers way more modern things instead of many historical sights. Don’t get this wrong, because Málaga also has plenty of historical things to show you. But what makes it all so special in May?
The conclusion of the previous blogs, was that the average temperature is great in May. For Málaga it’s the same, although it might feel a bit more chilly because it’s at the coast. This does make Málaga a great place, because you’ll have easy access to the beach and sea.
Yet, those are just main things you can find in Málaga. The one thing we really want to point out here is an event during this month. Two weekends ago, there was an event called “La noche en blanco”. The meaning of this name is “The sleepless night”
Now you might think, sleepless night? How is that any good? Wouldn’t that just mean many drunk people wandering over the streets at night?
Well, of course people will be drinking, but the beauty of it is that friends, families and colleagues celebrate this on the street! Drink, eat and communicate in the open air, just wonderful.
Next to that, there will be theatres and concerts during the night to entertain the people, and most things are just free to enjoy.
Enough about partying, because la noche en blanco has even more to offer than that. The whole night almost every museum will be open, and the best thing is that till 02:00 AM it will even be free to enter!
After that, you can visit all the museums that are open for a little fee, not the most horrible thing is the world either.
Anyway, if you’re ever deciding to pay a visit to Málaga, a big recommendation is to visit it during this weekend, because seeing it with your own eyes is even more incredible than just reading about it.
