A WORD FROM OUR INTERN DENISE
My time in Sevilla
Being in Sevilla for more than five months has been one of the most incredible experiences I’ve done lately. Not only did I live in one of the most beautiful and bustling cities of the southern part of Spain, I really got to know the city, I felt at home in this city. During my stay, I’ve met amazing people, did a lot of trips and had the opportunity to help Andalucia Tours and Dreams with their social media, blog and other work. Which I really enjoyed!
In these five months I also had the time to discover the most amazing/cozy/fun/bustling places in Sevilla. I’ve made a list of my favorite spots and places and why I think these are more than worth visiting while you are in Sevilla!
La Cacharrería
A cute local bar near the Metroparasol, where you can have delicious breakfasts in the mornings and great (and only 2,50) mojitos in the evening! (Calle Regina, 14, 41003 Sevilla)
Come y Calla
I’ve passed by this tapas bar and it immediately caught my eye. It’s looked like a nice place and when I had dinner I know that it not only looked nice but that the tapas were great as well. I recommend you to try the goat cheese with honey and nuts! (Calle Odreros 5, 41004 Sevilla)
Las Golondrinas
Close to where I used to live, this bar in Triana is a famous one. Las Golondrinas, which means swallows, has some more modern tapas for a good price. Be there on time, because it will be crowed every night! (Calle Antillano Campos, 26 & Calle Pagés del Corro, 76)
Bicicleteria
A living room, but then in a bar. You feel at home at this small bar (without windows and everywhere bicycle parts at the ceiling and wall), with on Tuesday incredible live performances from local artists. On other days you can also enjoy a cup of tea or beer for only 1 euro. (To keep this place kind of unknown, you have to find out the address by yourself ;)
Frozen yoghurt
With many ice cream shops around the city, you will find your refreshments in the summer around every corner. But as a yoghurt & ice cream freak, I found something else that suits my wishes. Frozen yoghurt! Find some good frozen yoghurt at SMOOY or at Quoore (in San Jacinto, Triana)
Running down the river
I love to run and I love running in Sevilla even more. Run along the river and see many other sporty types run, walk or cycle. The view over the river is amazing and especially during sunset I feel more powerful and energetic than normal.
Parque Maria Luisa
Plaza de España is of course one of the main place you have to visit (and also during the night really beautiful), but if you walk a little bit further you can make a nice walk through the Maria Luisa Park.
Hope you will have a great time in Sevilla !!
