The Zurich Seville City Marathon is more than just a 42.1 km run; it is an opportunity to experience Seville in a unique way. On 15 February, the city will once again be transformed into a sunny and atmospheric running festival. With one of the finest courses in Europe, this is the perfect opportunity to enjoy yourself and show off your skills. Whether you are running the marathon or cheering on the runners, Seville is ready for you!
Good to know
The marathon will take place in Seville on 15 February 2026 at 8.30 a.m. Both the start and finish are located on the Paseo de las Delicias, near the Buenos Aires roundabout close to the Plaza de España. Participants have 6 hours to complete the marathon, as the finish line closes at 3 p.m. Participants can pick up their race number and goodie bag on Friday 13 and Saturday 15 February between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m.
Why should people participate in this race?
The Seville Marathon is a race that participates in a good cause. For every finisher, the organisation donates 1 euro to the Guttman Institute Foundation. It is also a very popular race, one of the races that will kick off in 2026, with room for no fewer than 12,000 participants. In addition, Seville has the perfect climate for running, not too hot or too cold, but perfect for staying fresh and performing at your best.
The participants
For the participants, this is the perfect course to set a good time or break records, as it is flat and fast. Several top international athletes are also taking part, such as Asrar Hiyrden Abderehman and Andualem Belay Shiferaw from Ethiopia, who are coming to Seville especially for this marathon.
During the marathon, everyone is at the starting line. From 18 to 85+, from debutants to seasoned runners, everyone is participating. Participants with disabilities are also part of this special field. It is precisely this mix that makes the atmosphere so inspiring.

The route
The course is very spectacular, one of the flattest in Europe, and passes all the city’s landmarks, such as Plaza de España, Torre del Oro, La Giralda and Maria Luisa Park. Except for the 4 km in the city centre, the same path will not be passed again, which is quite rare for a smaller city like Seville.
There are several refreshment stations along the route, with water stations at kilometres 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40. Between the water stations, there will also be stations with water and isotonic drinks at kilometres 7.5, 12.5, 17.5, 22.5, 27.5, 32.5 and 37.5. Finally, some stations will also offer solid food, at least at kilometre 22.5.
