The first lap will start in Jerez and will be of 12,6 km. The third day (25th of August) the official opening will take place in Cádiz, the oldest city of Europe. A special location was picked, while the “vuelta” takes off from an aircraft carrier, named after the former king of Spain. On that day, the cyclists will run 188 km to Arcos de la Frontera. Then Córdoba, Ronda, Benalmadena and Baeza (World Heritage Site) are following. Later, the cyclists will go up north.
If you would like to see the whole cycle route, it will take you three full weeks as the route is taking place from the 23rd of August until the 14th of September 2014. A nice excuse to add some summer holidays in Andalusia to your “to-do” list!
