Seville is not only a beautiful city to cycle or walk through, but also an amazing place to run a half marathon. On Sunday, January 25, a half marathon will take place through the city! Everyone is welcome to participate and you can register online. A great way to start 2026. Whether you are running yourself or cheering from the sidelines, this will be an unforgettable experience for everyone.
Start well prepared
The Seville Half Marathon, Medio Maratón de Sevilla, takes place on January 25, 2026. It brings together thousands of runners and enthusiastic spectators. The race starts at 9:00 AM from Paseo de las Delicias, and you will have 3 hours to finish the race.
You can pick up your race number in advance on January 23 and 24 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. The exact location will be announced later, so keep an eye on the updates. During the race there will be refreshment points where you can drink water. These will be located at 5 km, 10 km, 15.5 km, 18.5 km, and at the finish.
Who is participating?
The Seville half marathon attracts many international participants. You will find dedicated elite athletes aiming to break records, as well as many recreational runners taking on the challenge at their own pace. There are also many international runners who travel to Spain especially for this event. It truly creates a unique atmosphere and experience.
In addition, many local running clubs participate and provide extra motivation along the route.
Finally, there are countless supporters along the sidelines. Everyone encourages each other during the race.
Adjusted route
This year, the event introduces an adjusted route for the first time in a while. This decision was made to ensure a smoother start and to reduce congestion in the first few kilometers.
The race still starts and finishes at the same location as in previous years, but runners will notice a more even distribution throughout the course.
