Fun Stories From Our Tours

21 Jun 2016

A tour isn´t just a tour. The people who are joining and guiding it make the tour special. As we have a very familiar and funny atmosphere in our company, our guides could fill in a whole book with stories out of their daily and private tours. This is a short summary of three funny stories from our guides.

While our guide Paulien was cycling with her tour, she became really fast suddenly and she was wondering what’s going on because the road wasn´t downhill at all. Looking back, she realized that two young Spanish inline-skaters were pushing her. Suddenly one of the inline-skaters didn´t pay attention and crashed into the tables of an ice-cream shop. Luckily nobody was injured so it was okay that the whole tour laughed about it.

Our guide Nan got into a strike with her big daily tour of about 20 people. Suddenly there was a bunch of tourists with bikes in middle oft he protesting Sevillians. Surrounded by whistleblowing Spaniards who were holding banners, they weaved their way through the crowd and continued the tour. This was definitely a special experience with locals which not everybody can tell after a sightseeing tour.

Alexis had a tour with five French women who were doing a stag-party-trip to Seville. First they arrived one hour too late, tipsy! This was probably the reason for their delay. Of course, they we´re still able and more than motivated to cycle. At every stop they took a sip of liqueur from the bottles which they took with them on the tour. At „Plaza del Triunfo“ one of them took out her Selfie-Stick and started to scream „come on girls, let´s take a selfie at plaza España“ people we´re looking weird at them and it took a while to explain them, that THIS is NOT plaza España and that they will see plaza España later. They simply didn´t believe Alexis. Their explanation: he´s French! How could he tell where plaza España is if he´s not a local? So they just took their Selfie of “Plaza de España” at the Plaza del Triunfo. Later, in Santa Cruz, Alexis told the legend of Sosana of Seville which is a very sad story. One of the women was so emotional (probably because of the alcohol) that she started to cry. She kept on crying for half an hour, poor girl! At the end of the tour, the only thing they remembered was where the nightclubs and bars are located. But at least they have their Selfie at „Plaza España” as a memory.

There are more stories that could be told about fun tours through Seville with our guides. But it´s even better if you experience it by yourself during a tour with us!
