Seville, City Of The 7th Art

22 Jul 2016

When a city is as beautiful as Seville, no wonder directors and producers want to shoot their movies there - in fact this is one of thing for which the city is known for.

Maybe you’ve seen the following movies, and you thought “wow what a great setting, what a beautiful place”, but you wondered where was it…. Well search no more!
More than 10 movies and TV shows were shot in Seville, here are the most famous ones:The passenger (1975), Mission: Impossible II (2000), Star Wars episode II: Attack of the Clones (2002), Kingdom of Heaven (2005), Diary of Nymphomaniac (2008), The Dictator (2012), Night and Day (2010), Jappeloup (2013), Games of Thrones …

But not only is Seville a great place to shoot films, it’s also an excellent place to watch them! Every summer the “Cine de Verano” (“Summer Cinema”) occurs, and huge screens are set for people to enjoy a night out watching a movie while eating popcorn and having a drink outside of their living room or dark theatres.

In the Terraza Parque María Luisa, the program starts on July 14th and ends on September 4th. Every night you can go and see the movie you like, enjoy a great meal and chill at the time of day when the temperature is (finally) bearable! It’s also a great opportunity to be social, meet people, share a pleasant time, all in all: to have fun!

Here is the movie program:
